Our girl is 6 months old!!

I started this blog entry last Thursday, so I had good intentions. :)

Last Friday 5/25/07, Emma had her 6 month checkup. She weighs 17 pounds and 6 ounces now. The doctors said that she is a happy baby and healthy as can be! She had two shots and she didn't feel too well from them ALL weekend. I think between Friday and Saturday night I got a total of 4 hours of sleep maybe 15-30 mins at a time. UFF DA, I just can't do that anymore!

On Sunday night Derek put together a small b'day party for me. We were suppose to have it at our house, but we just had our concrete poured for our driveway. That meant NO walking/driving on it. So then my aunt and uncle said that we could have it at their house. I was very grateful for that, but nervous. Emma was just not feeling well and none of us had no sleep, so I was worried that we would just make it that much worse. (not her own crib, toys and getting home late.) Well, everything worked out. After getting home she slept for us until almost 7 a.m. Whew!! I think we got 5 hours of sleep that night! Last night seemed back on track. (Cross your fingers/Say a prayer!) Then Derek took me and Emma to Fiesta Mexicana last night for my b'day. I agreed to go (i love fiesta) under the understanding that there would be NO singing or wearing the hat. Well, I should of known better that when he said that he had to go to the bathroom he told the waitress. Darn him!!!

I am trying to remember everything that has happened since I wrote last. I guess nothing really too exciting. Emma had her six month pictures taken, which are so adorable. I am in the process of trying to pick out the good ones and that is hard to do when they are pretty much ALL good. We went to a friend's house last week, they had a b'day party for their son Maison. he turned one!! It just makes your realize how fast time goes, and in less then six months we will be having a b'day party for Emma.

I am sure that there is more to share, so if I remember I will add it. For now here are some pictures. :)

Happy Belated Mother's Day!!

Happy BeLated Mother's Day to all the women in our lives! I hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I know that I wouldn't trade anything in the world for being a mother. Even thou Emma is only 5 1/2 months, I have learned so much.

So, this is what happened yesterday. After having a hard time getting going we finally left our house at around 3:00 p.m. We were going to Rochester to visit Gramps and have dinner. As we are getting to Rochester, Derek asked if he could stop by Wal-Mart or somewhere like that b/c he had to pick up a couple of things. So after waiting, waiting, waiting in the car, here he comes. He hands me two mother day cards, one from him and one from Emma. Talk about procrasination (sp?). It's a good thing that I was in a pretty good mood. I guess that it is the thought the counts?

Update

Hello Everyone, it's been awhile so here we go. . .

Grandpa is still in the hospital, it's been a slow recovery but I know he will be back to himself hopefully soon. He is such an inspiration. We have been going down there every other day, if not every day. The doctors say that the more the family can be around him, hopefully the faster he will heal and remember.
Everything is the same for me. Derek started his new job today at a place that will be called River City Metals in Diamond Bluff, WI. It is still in the opening process that he is helping out with.
Gosh, it feels like there has been so much going on, but really it has just been a lot of chasing. So thank you to everyone who has been so very patient with me (us). I don't know where all the time has went.
Here are some pics. They are a little unorganized, since the last time I posted they are quite a few. It's kind of funny, I just realized that almost all the pictures that I have of Emma within the last couple of months are almost all taken at the hospital.
